Monday Perspectives - 4/12/21 Quarantined and Angry

So, this Monday Perspectives is late in the evening, my last post was last Wednesday and I didn't do a Sunday Scaries. All because... COVID. My last Monday Perspective post was on some of the realities about what you think about and how you kind of have to just stop everything when someone in your family tests positive. This week will be a bit different.

We were SO CLOSE TO THE END when my husband tested positive due to being exposed by a coworker on Good Friday. I felt fine, for almost an entire week until... WHAM. I have it too, and it is pretty terrible even for the mild cases we have. My husband thankfully is feeling almost completely back to normal, I, however, am not. To be fair, I am almost 7 days behind him in my battle with this dreadful virus. AND I started to feel terrible while I was keeping 6, yes, 6 other creatures alive BY MYSELF (Alden, Daisy, Waylon and three tadpoles) - see the video below taken literally hours before the virus hit me like a ton of bricks to get a bit of a feel for my mood. I mean, I cannot go anywhere, take Alden anywhere, or have any adult interaction on my own or time for myself for 10 days? That is pretty daunting.

You see, my son Alden and I have been quarantining since Easter Sunday when Aaron got his positive result. When I got my positive result, Aaron just decided to come home, because at that point, whatever. We were quarantining together for 3 days, then separately for 6 days after Aaron's positive result, and now the rest together again. The irony is, Alden and I will have to quarantine for 19 days when all is said and done, and I will get out of quarantine ONE DAY before my second dose of the vaccine.

To try to make lemonade out of lemons, I decided to create an episode of "Quarantined and Angry," my own little version and parody of "Naked and Afraid." The first episode documents the every day shenanigans of being quarantined alone with a 4 year old and several animals. It is the first 7 days of our journey. I hope you enjoy this week's installment. Today, I didn't feel stellar, so I will resume making the final episode when I have the energy.

That is my Monday Perspective...
